Adventure Aide scales up with new version of mobile app

Adventure Aide, an app that allows you to browse and book adventures led by locals has announced a significant boost in growth over the last six months on the heels of launching its latest version.

The app launched by millennial outdoor enthusiasts in March of 2017 recorded 4,200 total downloads at an average rate of seven per day, has 53 active adventures on the Central Coast and is picking up speed as the team plans to expand their territory southward into Southern California by the end of the year.

This latest version of the Adventure Aide app will go live March 1st and touts enhanced search functions to allow adventure seekers to browse and book with one click, smarter messaging platform to make it easier for users to communicate with Aides and fellow adventure goers to foster long-term relationship-building, and a streamlined adventure creation process so local guides can spend less time listing their adventures and more time answering user questions and doing what they love outdoors.

“We love the outdoors, and we want to share that. So we created something that allows anyone to browse and book outdoor adventures—from surf lessons to multi-day excursions—so you can unplug, connect with cool people and have fun outdoors,” says founder Connor Woolpert. “We’re really proud of this latest version of the app,” Woolpert adds. “But we also view tech as simply a resource not the final product. Our primary goal is to get people outside and having fun, so seeing the numbers of people booking adventures grow and grow—that’s the really cool part.”

Adventure Aide, a mobile app that connects people of all experience levels with local outdoor guides, was founded by Connor Woolpert in 2014 in San Luis Obispo, California. Adventure Aide now employs 10 people and continues to further their mission of inspiring people to get outside, discover what they love and meet cool people. Currently, Adventure Aide is booking adventures on the Central Coast of California and this Spring is expanding to include Santa Barbara and Ventura counties with plans to be serving Los Angeles by Fall of 2018.
