Hey guys, I proudly present to you a new Vinova homepage. We have been working on it for a while wholeheartedly.

Like a man who reviewing his resume – for us this is quite a precious occasion to review ourselves, see where we are standing in Singapore and international markets, position ourselves in the world of emerging technologies: like smart mobile phones, RFID/NFC, cloud computing, big data, business intelligence, new web technologies.

Lira – Life Information Reporting Assistant (NFC / RFID)

New site/app launch: Lira – Life Information Reporting Assistant (NFC / RFID)

The idea of Live Information Reporting Assistant was initially developed as a cost effective solution for the better facilitation of security patrolling in Singapore. The LIRA server is a management system that allows the easy supervision of live reporting conducted by staff on the ground.

LIRA involves the use of a mobile application in smart phones and near-field communication technology in order for staff members to write and submit reports while they are on the ground.

The use of NFC tags allow our clients to with checkpoint tours for their staff in any compound or facility. These staff are then required to follow the checkpoints while they do their rounds. Staff can also report any incident to the server immediately, when something is out of the ordinary.

The LIRA system is an effective way of monitoring live reports for management of security, facilities and logistics. Please refer to the technology tab for more information.

Technology:

A near field communication tag is placed on each checkpoint in a checkpoint tour. The LIRA mobile applications provides users with the ability to use near field communication technology in smart phones to conduct their checkpoint tours around a vicinity by simply placing their phones in contact with these NFC tags.

Once each checkpoint tour is completed, the information will be automatically sent to the LIRA server. The LIRA application also allows users to submit live incident reports as well as submit photographed evidence of incidents, take with the smart phones.

Clients can then log in into the LIRA server through the LIRA website and will be able to monitor the completed checkpoint tours. Clients are then also able to view all incident reports and photographs submitted.

Clients can also be updated live during checkpoint tours when they log into the LIRA server during the time of the checkpoint tour. These clients would be able to tell the exact checkpoint their staff is at, at any point of time.

New Android App – Vietnamese Horoscope for The Dragon Year 2012

Team Vinova has just launched a new Android app for Vietnam consumer market: Vietnamese Horoscope for The Dragon Year 2012. The App is now available for download on Android market

iOS version will be released shortly (actually our team already submitted the iOS app, and is now waiting for approval from Apple Inc).

New iPhone App launched for SSDC (Singapore Safety Driving Centre)

The SSDC iPhone app will give you an insight into the services provided by Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC). One of the biggest and oldest driving centres in Singapore.

SSDC, a private organization was established since 20 July 1983 as a pioneer driving centre in Singapore. SSDC started training for motorcycle riders on 1 April 1985 and motorcar drivers on 1 September 1985. Their mission is to promote road safety and support the long term road safety strategy of the Government. Our vision is to foster both drivers and riders with excellent skills, knowledge and manners for safe driving and riding.

In year 2005, SSDC was awarded the tender to build the first multi-storey driving circuit in Woodlands. With a total land area of 25,000 square metres, it housed a 3 storey driving circuit and a 5 storey administration block that allows training and testing for all classes of licences including Class 4 and Class 5 under one roof. It also houses all complementary facilities like theory lecture rooms, a vehicle repair workshop and petrol pumps.

SSDC has spared no effort in providing students with the best facilities and instructions for training on road safety. It also conducts defensive driving and riding courses, refresher driving course for qualified license holders. Our rapid development has not gone unnoticed as we were regularly invited to conduct courses in Malaysia, Indonesia, People’s Republic of China, Ghana, India, Nepal etc.

“Bé Học Số” – an iphone app helps kids to learn numbers

“Bé Học Số” (Direct translation should be : Kids Learn Number) is an iphone app from Vinova team that helps kids from 1-to-3 years old to learn numbers. The little kids will learn the number visually via attractive colorful numbers and at the same time vocally via native English and Vietnamese voice. The app attracts helps kids in development of coordination between ears, fingers and brain through playing. It is now free on Apple App Store. Why not check it out?
