IMSA has revealed an all-new mobile app in advance of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the Acura Sports Car Challenge.

The app is now available in the Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android platforms and offers several enhancements from previous versions. These include an enhanced user experience, social media sign-in, alerts and notifications and video library access.

IMSA promises a “streamlined, interactive experience for real-time updates on race day and updated news and video content.” It has the ability to show current running orders in real time. It also allows for race streaming, in-car cameras, radio commentary from the John Hindhaugh led broadcast team.

“We believe the new IMSA app sets the standard in motorsports for giving fans what they are looking for on a race weekend and to follow our series all year long,” said IMSA vice president, marketing David Pettit. “Having an app that is a companion to watching on race day is a must today. We feel this is the perfect complement to any IMSA fan during one of our event weekends.”

Fans will get their first chance to use the new features when IMSA hits the track at Mid-Ohio Friday morning.

The Acura Sports Car Challenge is scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 6 and can be seen on FS2. IMSA Radio coverage can be heard on IMSA.com, RadioLeMans.com and SiriusXM.
