fuboTV mobile app: major overhaul now on Android

fuboTV rolled out its latest Android app update, giving users completely new ways to find sporting events and favorite movies.  

The new fuboTV mobile app is v4.0 for the company and it’s now available in the Google Play Store.  New features that are part of this upgrade include:

• A complete design overhaul and enhanced user interface
• Improved content discovery
• New electronic program guide
• My Fubo hub, a central location for viewers to manage what they watch, stream and schedule Cloud DVR recordings
• New Startover feature

The new “Startover” feature is in Beta. It is now available in the above-mentioned Android app, as well as iOS, web and Apple TV

Startover allows a viewer who is tuning in late to a live game or TV show to catch up from the very beginning, so they don’t have to miss a second. Right now, Startover works on select channels, but the company said more channels will be added soon.

AMC Networks debut on fuboTV

AMC, BBC America, Sundance TV, IFC and WE tv were added to fuboTV’s channel lineup on Thursday. The additions come two weeks after the company announced a new deal with AMC Networks. Subscribers to the Fubo Premier package will get the five new channels. Two subscription-based platforms, Sundance Now and Shudder, will also be added at no extra charge.

As part of the agreement, fuboTV subscribers will also have access to AMC Networks content via video-on-demand, as well as the ability to use fuboTV credentials to log into AMC Networks TV Everywhere apps and websites.

BBC World News will later be made available to fuboTV subscribers as part of a pending premium package.

Fubo Premier offers 70+ channels, 36 of which carry sports.  fuboTV offers a free 7-day trial for new customers and charges $19.99 for the first month. Subscribers pay $44.99 per month for fubo Premier.
