News & Eagle launches newly designed website, mobile app

ENID, Okla. — The Enid News & Eagle has launched a newly designed website and mobile app, and we are excited to share those changes with you.

Our readers are why we are in this business, and we are not only continually working to bring news of interest to you but to present it in a cleaner, simpler format that focuses on content that matters to you.

You’ll notice more selection of stories and images at the top of our homepage. Videos and photo galleries are featured more prominently. And the site navigation travels with you as you scroll down the page, so you’re never more than one click away from logging in to your account, accessing the e-paper or signing up for text and email alerts. The changes are designed for any device — from desktop computer to tablets and smartphones.

You also will notice big changes coming on our app — available for download on iOS, Android and Kindle devices. In addition to a cleaner design to make viewing easier, even when offline, you can set up a custom “My News” page tailored to your interests. And we’ve made improvements to the way photo galleries and videos are displayed inside the app.

The e-paper still is accessible, via app and online, and now through the app you can choose whether to view the online edition or the latest, live news each time you open the app. You also can set a default preference, and the app will always bring you to the edition you prefer.

Our efforts to improve our products for you, our readers, continue. We hope you’ll share your feedback with us, and we’ll keep working to bring you all of the important news and information from our community and region.
