Starbucks® launches a mobile app in the Philippines
Starbucks Philippines has announced that it is launching an innovative expansion to the high-tech digital ecosystem through the introduction of its Starbucks PH® App. This application will be able to make paying in the 300 plus stores and branches of the global beverage and coffee giant in the country easier and faster than ever.
The Starbucks PH® App fuses together features and functionalities that are connected to other programs of Starbucks Philippines like the Card payment method and My Starbucks Rewards. It is readily accessible through the mobile devices of the customers.
The company hopes that the new app will enhance the overall Starbucks experience of their customers. It also urges customers to try it out so that usual transactions will be easier to do.
“We are pleased to introduce the Starbucks® PH App to our My Starbucks Rewards® customers as they earn stars and engage with Starbucks online,” said Starbucks Philippines’ head of marketing Keith Cole. “This is the latest Starbucks innovation which aims to provide an enhanced experience and meet customers’ needs in the digital space while continuing to provide an exceptional experience in our stores.”
Features of Starbucks PH® App
The “Shake to Pay” feature of the app makes paying efficient. Customers just have to shake their phone that will prompt a barcode. This can be used to pay and redeem rewards on the counter. Not sure where the nearest Starbucks coffee shop is? You can easily search for that with the app thanks to its Store Locator feature.
Customers are notified of the new promos and product offerings in Starbucks Philippines branches. They also have the opportunity to get event invitations and special offers with their use of the app. It is also interesting to note that, customers can even share such offerings with their friends via social media or email.
Smartphone and tablet users will no longer have trouble keeping track of their Starbucks reward points. With this app, you can see your balance, past transactions and even deactivate a missing Starbucks Card. On top of that, you can also pool your Starbucks Cards into a single account.
That’s not all the app is putting on the table. It also comes with a menu of food options, seasonal offers, packaged whole bean coffee, and, of course, beverages. What’s more, it includes a newsfeed with the latest merchandise for the consumers.
