TN govt launches mobile app for farmers

In a bid to use technology for farmers’ benefit, Tamil Nadu government has come out with a mobile application that will allow ryots to have access to nine types of services including details about their crop insurance.

Chief Minister K Palaniswami launched the bi-lingual ‘Uzhavan’ (farmer) app.

The app, can be used by farmers to get information on farm subsidies, book farm equipment and related infrastructure and get details on their crop insurance, besides receiving weather forecast for the next four days.

The other highlights of the app, available in Tamil and English, include information on available stocks of seeds and fertilisers in local government and private stores.

किसानों के लाभ के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी को उपयोग में लाने के लिए, तमिलनाडु सरकार ने एक मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन को लांच किया है जो कि किसानों को अपने फसल बीमा के विवरण सहित नौ प्रकार की सेवाओं तक पहुंच प्रदान करेगा।

मुख्यमंत्री के पलानीस्वामी ने द्विभाषी ‘उज्वावन’ (किसान) ऐप को लॉन्च किया।

ऐप, कृषि सब्सिडी, पुस्तक फार्म उपकरण और संबंधित बुनियादी ढांचे के बारे में जानकारी पाने के लिए किसानों द्वारा उपयोग किया जा सकता है और इसके साथ ही किसान अगले चार दिनों तक मौसम पूर्वानुमान प्राप्त करने के अलावा, उनकी फसल बीमा के बारे में विवरण भी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

तमिल और अंग्रेजी में उपलब्ध ऐप के अन्य मुख्य आकर्षण के रूप में स्थानीय सरकार और निजी दुकानों के बीज और उर्वरकों के उपलब्ध स्टॉक के बारे में जानकारी शामिल है।

Agreement between Centre, Maharastra Government and the World Bank

The Centre, Maharastra Government and the World Bank have signed a 420 million dollar project to help small and marginals farmers in the Marathwada and Vidarbha region of the state.

The project will help in increasing climate resilient practices in agriculture and ensuring that farming continues to remain a financially viable activity for them.

केंद्र, महाराष्ट्र सरकार और विश्वबैंक के बीच समझौता

केंद्र, महाराष्ट्र सरकार और विश्वबैंक ने मराठवाड़ा और विदर्भ के लघु और सीमांत किसानों की सहायता के लिए 42 करोड़ अमरीकी डॉलर की परियोजना पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस परियोजना से कृषि में जलवायु अनुकूल प्रक्रियाओं में सुधार और खेती को फायदे का काम सुनिश्चित करने में मदद मिलेगी। इस परियोजना को वर्षा सिंचित ग्रामीण कृषि क्षेत्रों में लागू किया जाएगा।

India-Korea joint anti-piracy, search and rescue exercise ‘SAHYOG- HYEOBLYEOG 2018’ was conducted off the Chennai coast.

The Korean Coast Guard ship ‘BADARO’ took part in the exercise.

भारत-कोरिया संयुक्त समुद्र-विरोधी चोरी, खोज और बचाव अभ्यास ‘सहयोग- ह्युब्लीओग 2018‘ चेन्नई तट से आयोजित किया गया था।

कोरियाई तटरक्षक दल की शिप ‘बदरो’ ने भी इस अभ्यास में भाग लिया|

3rd Gold Medal for India in Commonwealth Games

Sathish Kumar Sivalingam won the third gold medal for India in weightlifting as he lifted 317 kg in total, 144 kg in Snatch and 173 kg in Clean-and-Jerk in Men’s 77 kg weightlifting at Commonwealth Games 2018.

राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में भारत का 3 स्वर्ण पदक

भारत के भारोत्तोलक खिलाड़ी सतीश कुमार शिवालिंगम ने 21वें राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में भारोत्तोलन के पुरुषों के 77 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में स्वर्ण पदक जीता।

सतीश ने स्नैच में 144 किलोग्राम का सर्वश्रेष्ठ भार उठाया तो वहीं क्लीन एंड जर्क में 173 किलोग्राम का सर्वश्रेष्ठ भार उठाया। कुल मिलाकर उनका स्कोर 317 किलो रहा।
